The IMPC uses across-locations standardized phenotyping protocols, as specified in IMPReSS (International Mouse Phenotyping Resource of Standardised Screens). Detailed descriptions, as specified in IMPReSS, assures standardization of protocols across the IMPC sites.
On the IMPReSS pages you can click on the protocols in the image to learn more about them, or search by pipelines or ontology term using the drop-down menus in the top part of the page.
Individual data points are associated to an IMPReSS parameter. Parameters are organised into procedures. Procedures are organised into pipelines. Significant associations are annotated to a Mammalian Phenotype Ontology (MP) term. In the IMPReSS Pipelines menu you can check for parameters and ontolgy annotations associated to each procedure (e.g. parameter “Outcome, IMPC_EVL_001_001” is a simple parameter of procedure “Viability E9.5 Secondary Screen, IMPC_EVL_001” in the “IMPC Pipeline, IMPC_001”).
